Benro Mach3 Treppiede TMA28A

I have a Carbon fibre with gimbal head for my wildlife setup and needed a smaller tripod for my bike rides. My previous small tripod was a Slik setup. The Slik was too unstable and the leg locks broke. The leg lock setup is similar to my carbon tripod and the best way to go. This tripod is very stable and easy to setup with the built in level. I use the Induro BH-3 head and it matches up well and fits neatly into the carry bag when attached. this bag fits very well onto my carrier on the back of the bike. Bonus! One thing I do to all my tripods is wrap a small amount of electrical tape around the feet and then one tape width up the leg. this keeps the foot from ever falling off and keeps the threads pristine in any environment. Overall very happy.

Very robust and well made this product met expectations

I finally coughed up the funds to get serious about my tripod. What an incredible difference in quality compared to the big box store options. I opted for the aluminum vs the carbon because there IMO wasnt that much weight difference vs the serious increase in price. Also, I dont mind a little more weight for stability. The leg locks are very robust and solid- you dont have to crank them down to lock the legs in place. Love the fact that this will convert to a monopod if needed.

I am running this with the HD2A Pan head. Took it to Zion National park to break it in...it was fantastic. Reviewed the HD2A separately so Ill focus on the TMA28A here. We hiked several miles with this guy and it was super easy to balance and carry. Setups on rocky terrain were fast, I could hang my bag on the hook quickly, & I used lots of different heights to get all the angles I wanted. The included bag made the flights easy, the bag barely fits in the overhead skinny end in, so that was good. I also got a very cheap basic head for the monopod setup since I use a monopod frequently. Changing from monopod to tripod was a snap and so easy that I changed it often! I am super happy with this rig!!

I found this tripod works great with my heavy Canon lenses. Fits in my suitcase with ease. Great value.
