Mercedes-benz Select Night Uomo 100 ml — Eau de Parfum

I purchased this for two reasons: I love Mercedes benz club black and it kept getting mentioned as a “brother” to Noir Extreme. Well, it smells nothing like Noir Extreme. No part of it. Ever! While this is a great fragrance it’s sexy in a different way. The lavender in this fragrance is powdery and slightly aromatic but not medicinal. The woods in this come across slightly sweet and leather like. Not very spicey to my nose and not creamy. I don’t pick up any bergamot or cardamom or vanilla. It also has a “shaving cream” like note that make this very masculine to me. So I’ll enjoy this on my husband but not myself. Longevity is decent and projects for about 2 hours. Then it’s a skin scent.

I understand the comparison with Tom Ford .. There is a similar feeling but without the rose which brings that touch of femininity. The scent is also classy but much more masculine in my opinion. (My entourage thinks so too). I will classify it between Spicebomb and Extreme Black. FYI, I don't like Spicebomb, nor Extreme Black, too feminine for my taste, but I'm completely in love with Mercedes Benz select night! I place it in my top 5! My note 8.5 / 10

The smell is great unfortunately on my body it doesn't last very long

This feels like perfumer Olivier Cresp remaking Tom Ford Noir Extreme, to which it bears a strong resemblance: a dark, sleek, creamy, "perfume-y" spicy-floral vanilla. Rather than the kulfi accord from, this gets its creaminess from an orange blossom heart.
