Mercedes-benz Intense Uomo 120 ml — Eau de Toilette

I gifted this scent to my father for his birthday. I thought it would be ideal for him as a Mercedes driver. At that time, I really hadn’t gotten into perfumes yet. When he unwrapped it on his birthday, my father was surprised. In fact, he didn’t use it, as he generally wasn’t much of a fragrance wearer back then. So I snagged it for myself. Essentially, one can say: It’s solid. For someone who is 50+, doesn’t know much about perfumes, and doesn’t place much value on them, it might be a good choice. As already described here, the synthetic aspect plays a big role. Along with a light (very light) fruity note and a bit of freshness. But that’s about it. The scent reminds me of a random shower gel that you just grab in any drugstore without thinking. The longevity is more or less okay. A maximum of 3 hours; anyone expecting more from such scents is unfortunately not being realistic.

I had never really paid attention to Mercedes fragrances before. I once bought the Cologne as an alternative to the almost identical, albeit better, Dior Homme Cologne. I then tried this scent, Man Intense, at the turquoise D and saw that it was on sale. For just under €40 for 50ml, I thought you can't go wrong with that. And I was right. The scent has synthetic, slightly spicy, and shower gel-like vibes. Yet it still smells very masculine. The listed green notes do not smell fresh but rather artificial. Ambroxan provides good longevity, around 7 to 8 hours, with initially good sillage (about 2 hours). For an EdT, that's quite decent. It slightly reminds me of Jaguar Pace due to the pepper. However, it is spicier and more masculine. I really enjoy using Mercedes Man Intense as an everyday scent, after showering to extend the feeling of freshness or with just a few sprays before exercising. It’s not off-putting, and women mostly like this type of masculine scent.

I bought this fragrance for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. The scent is sexy and light.
