There's just no leather note here, not to my nose at least. This is definitely an aromatic fragrance that smells very 2000.-2010. era to my nose. Kind of lame, that's my impression. If I want to smell like this, I'll rather take Bvlgari Aqva or maybe Acqua di Gio. For more elegance, I'll pick Bleu de Chanel. So you must wonder what those frags have to do with Baldessarini Signature? Well to me it smells kind of aquatic albeit there are no sea notes per se in it. Smells just generic and ok, but that's it. So, would I wear it, buy it? I wouldn't rush, but for a fair price it could serve as a spring-summer go to fragrance. Also very good for the office use. This is a Sauvage Bleu de Chanel entry. For this reason I initially wrote this off because, really, where is the imagination? I am tired of all the clones. Nothing 'new' is coming from the perfumers and houses any longer. Then as it settled and dried, a facet that I love revealed itself: that dark-chalky-burnt metal presented in this formula by the akigala wood and labdanum. The result is a deeper darker more brooding scent than the sometimes bubble gummy vibe you get from Sauvage and BdC. My guess is the desire to further masculinize this type of scent was the brief. Could easily pass as Black de Chanel or Sauvage Noir.
