Montale Red Aoud EDP 100 ml — Eau de Parfum

Montale Red Aoud is very safe as far as ouds go. Sweet and slightly spicy, with a linear, even drydown. Neither the oud, nor the rose are overpowering in any way. Very nice.

Oh wow, Montale's Red Aoud is a no-nonsense agarwood formulation that needs discretion in application. Fragrance notes: [Top] - agarwood (oud), pepper [Heart] - saffron, rose, cumin [Base] - orris root, vetiver, sandalwood Red Aoud is a thick, heavy rose-centered oud scent that works really well ESPECIALLY if you limit sprays to two at the most. Saffron is also quite prominent in this EdP strength potion, adding an exotic, leathery floral hit within this fiery formulation. Red Aoud leans masculine and gives the wearer a long, long pleasant oud ride. As each of Montale's "Aoud" flankers are very distinctive in highlighting different aspects of the agarwood experience, I would highly recommend trying sample decants of a number of them until you can pinpoint the one that fits YOU best.

It has the same appeal as wearing ax body spray. Only its more expensive.

Nutty chocolate cookie, sweet but not sugary sweet. The sharpness of oud has been muted by the combination of red pepper, saffron and sandalwood.

OMG! I received a full sized bottle of Red Oud for my birthday. This is a sultry, sexy, full on perfume. On my skin during dry down, I get hints of red fruit, pepper, and rich dry spice. Other descriptions that place this perfume in the middle of a middle eatern bazaar are spot on. Dry sand notes makes its way into this fragrance. Some people complain of the Oud in the opening notes in Montale creations, but in Red Oud I find it to be very non existant. This is not a perfume for work. I made the mistake of wearing this fragrance (a TEENY bit) to a teaching setting, and god, people could smell me down the hallway. Extreme sillage. This is a perfume to save for the best occasions when you really need to make a slap in the face impact. In a good way! Price - redic. Packaging kind of sucks in an aluminum cannister. I also managed to lose the little Montale clip that stopped the nozzle when not in use. If I do run out I will repurchase as there is nothing like Red Oud out there.
