Correct part number, but had one little extra piece of plastic that would not allow it to fit flush.

Bought this for my office work printer. Company reimbursed my purchase. Chat representative helped me find the Imaging Unit making it a quick process from start to finish.

Staples refers you to this imaging unit. it does not fit the MX312. Bought in April, just installed. Probably not returnable.

The first one made so much noise that I requested a replacement. The replacement was quiet for the first few days, but has started making noise also.
